Absolutely horrendous therapist. After several sessions, she began to talk about herself incessantly, disparage people in my life, and was increasingly condescending and degrading. Please go elsewhere; she is not worth your money nor your time.

Dr Befera-Zielinski is the finest doctor that I’ve used. I would highly recommend her. She is compassionate and effective. I am not exaggerating when I say that she’s the reason I’m alive today. She’s brilliant.

She’s a joke! Spends far too much of the session talking about herself. I highly recommend seeking services with someone other than Marilyn Befera.

Pros: excellent listener, good communicator, clearly enjoys her work, friendly
Cons: a bit provincial (not necessarily her fault, but I felt it impeded her ability to understand my perspective), slightly misandric (though I do not think this is conscious on her part)
Overall: a fine therapist IF the two of you can mesh....
(I will be surprised if my survey is posted after review, but it is the honest truth.)

I have been seeing Dr. Befera-Z for several years. She has always been professional, trustworthy and keeps everything confidential. I have ran into her outside of the office also and she had a wonderful professional attitude and approach! I enjoy our sessions and will continue to go back as long as my insurance permits! Thank you for your services, Marilyn!

Unprofessional inside and out of the office. Spent more than half of my session complaining to my wife about my wife's employer. When called on it she put the blame on me. When I asked the office to whom to speak about a concern Befera left unprofessional messages on my phone and again, put the blame on me for her actions. I asked for my money back for the session... And didn't get it. I called and cancelled all future appointments and of course she had to have the last word.
