Dr. Margarita Lorence, PHD

My review is based on the results of Dr. Lorence's work with a family member. I have seen an amazing change since this family member started therapy with Dr. Lorence. She is super personable, connected quickly and has been truly the first therapist who was able to connect and help my family member heal. I would, and do, recommend her to anyone who asks.

I want to warn anyone with abandonment issues/trauma to NOT see Dr. Lorence. She was recommended to me by a professional for treating my trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Eating Disorder. ED and depression had largely subsided before I saw her and the BPD, trauma, and Anxiety were still all prevalent but not at all daunting. I had 4 sessions with her before I had an emergency out of town which eventually lead me into a bit of a depression. I didn't see her for 2 weeks, & didn't schedule appointments for that time. When I was feeling better, I went online to book a session that she approved. Two days later, I received an email from her saying that she could no longer see me because of the 2 weeks. I replied to her email questioning and she still has yet to reply in 2 months. If you have trauma, abandonment issues, BPD - please don't see her for your own good. The feeling of trusting someone & having them drop you is retraumatizing-therapists especially.
