Maren was my therapist for about three sessions. On the last session, she claimed that I didn’t need therapy so she would not be rescheduling me again. I asked for a reason and she said that she didn’t see a clear need. I was in absolute disbelief. I sat there for three sessions pouring out my problems and traumatic events all for them to be belittled. I reached out to her team/supervisor because I just wanted a clear reason as to how Maren decided this. My request was ignored and due to this, I had problems receiving approval for therapy from Kaiser for months. Mind you, these were the most difficult months of my life. Fast forward 7 months, I finally convinced Kaiser to allow me to get therapy. I wish she had given a clear reason for the denial. But because of the denial, I struggled for months when I could’ve received the help I needed. I don’t known what exactly the issue was - I spoke about this with my current therapist and she was just as shocked. She said she sees the need.
