Most aggressive healthcare provider I have ever encountered. I went in because many of my friends and family had suggested I could be on the autism spectrum and I wanted a screening, when I said this she laughed in my face. She also seemed to ignore my bad homelife contributing to my mental health and kept putting me on more and more medications each visit. It got to the point that I had to lie and say I felt safe and happy in order for her to stop upping the dosages or prescribing new ones.

She is very professional and yet personable.she takes all the time you need. So some people might get agitated about waiting for her me no .I get all the time I need as well.

Do yourself a favor and find yourself/your child an actual psychiatrist who does their job well. I highly recommend Dr. Alan Berns in Lake Mary. He's a bit dry in the personality department but he is very thorough. However I had Rouse for many years and I wish I had jumped ship earlier. She didn't have much direction in helping me. Her attitude was often flippant and  passive aggressive. She cared more about focusing on my family drama (I had to be with my parent in appts since I was a minor and they were raising me in a toxic environment) then giving me genuine constructive advice for medication. She would often just sit there and ask me "Well what do you want to do?" expecting me to come up with treatment plans for myself when I was a minor and was the one seeking direction from her. See an actual psychiatrist and not her. She would just sit there and smirk at me, often times goading me to quit seeing her which I eventually did and I'm very glad I did.

I didn’t have a good experience with Lorraine Rouse! She is not very friendly and her demeanor was horrible. She appeared to be going through the motions and didn’t display any empathy toward me as a patient. I got the feeling that she didn’t give a damn about me at all. On a couple of occasions I felt as if she was trying to engage me in an attempt to get me to go off. However I did not take the bait. This whole practice in general is very poor and I wouldn’t take my dog there for help!

I've been dealing with mental health providers for 20 years and I have never had been purposely triggered by a provider in my life. She sat there judged me with a smirk on her face the whole time, I felt like I was being interviewed by Hannibal Lecter. Cherry on top was when she literally asked me what my grandmother used to shoot herself after I brought up my grandma's suicide: "what did she use to shoot herself, did she use a pistol?". Unreal. This lady is a danger for anyone's mental health.

The most awful experience of my child's life. The emotional and psychological damage done to my child today is going to take years of therapy to fix. Would never go here again.
