RUN FAR AWAY!! I was referred to her by our Ped as well as to UM CARD to evaluate my son for autism. We saw Lois first. We didn’t know what an OT even did so after the eval we asked her for our son’s diagnosis. She didn’t tell me that she is not even qualified to make a diagnosis as an OT but she went with it. Told me my 5 year son was severely delayed due to bad parenting and my husband (whom she never met) and I needed therapy to figure out what made us such bad parents. She was out of her mind to think that. She told me my pediatrician was dead wrong in suspecting autism and 99.9% chance he was not autistic. She slammed UM and the medical community saying that they overdiagnose autism and UM’s eval program would traumatize him. Instead I needed to have her treat him for years to come. SHE WAS DEAD WRONG. UM, a neurologist, and Harvard independently diagnosed my son with autism. If we listened to her she would have horribly impacted our lives. We LOVE UM and are so grateful to them!
