Lisa is AWESOME!
Telehealth
I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. She has always been so compassionate towards everyone that I know. Bed side manner is awesome! She has been there for me for many years. Lisa was working at Resource Group when I first started seeing her. Resource group had ridiculous fees. Her patients were having issues with the unnecessary fees. Then Lisa went with another practice. Don't remember the name, it was during COVID. I had done a virtual meeting, so I could get my prescription filled. I finally had an in person visit. The place was located in White Marsh off Sandpiper Rd. I went there for my appointment and the place was in the process of going out of business. Didn't even inform the doctors. She is now with Gladstone psychiatry in Hunt Valley. She is amazing!

Lisa has been a wonderful caregiver to my wife, both in person when that was still possible, and via Zoom when that became the only way to see her.

Terrible- not a real MD. Don’t be fooled.
I saw Lisa for medication management and it was obvious that she was just in it for the insurance money. She “diagnosed” me within minutes of meeting me and I was on my way with a prescription in 15. In my opinion, she is rude, fake and classless. Stay away from this chick. She bounces from job to job too because she has difficulty getting along with the staff. I was told that by a staff member after she left.

I saw Lisa Swords for four years and though I am grateful for the medication she herself was rude and dismissive. When I showed concern over a certain medication and wanted to begin coming off of it she told me when I get a job we'll talk about it. HA! That was the last straw!

She incorrectly diagnosed me with bipolar disorder and prescribed me harsh medications I didn’t need. Do yourself a favor and find a board certified psychiatrist who will actually listen to you and provide proper care. I was given 10 minute appointments which consisted of her asking me how I felt and then proceeding to write a script while she told me about the vacations she planned for herself and how badly she wanted to get a new Lexus to replace her old (yet still new) Lexus. Don’t waste your time with her.

I disagree with every single negative review of Lisa. Maybe someone had a bad day or experience. But she doesn't push drugs on me, she doesn't just care about my money or if I'm 3 minutes late, and she isn't abusive of me. She even asks about what other help or therapy I'm getting outside her care to be proactive toward a healthier life. There aren't words to describe how appreciative and thankful I am of her. She is caring and professional. She is kind, honest, and willing to listen and ask questions when necessary. She builds a real relationship with you, so that she may better serve you. She is incredibly genuine and understanding. She explains any and all information about the medications she prescribes. She always returns phone calls for medication issues. Anyone in her care is in the best of hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking real help.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews, because my experience with Lisa Swords has been nothing but positive. I showed up at her office in the midst of a mental health crisis about a year ago. She was compassionate, empathetic, and really listened to what was going on. Then she looked at the antidepressant I was currently taking, as well as ones I'd taken in the past, and worked out a new protocol that she thought would work better. She explained why she was making the changes, what the new medicine was supposed to do, and how long it would take to see results. She has always taken time to explain her rationale when making changes and is responsive when I have called in between appointments. I would recommend her to my friends and family without hesitation. Seeing her has changed my life dramatically and I am so grateful I found her.

We found Lisa to be very unprofessional, cold and disrespectful. From the start, she did not make eye contact when she introduced herself but spoke the entire time with her side to us, facing her desk rather than facing the couch where we were sitting. 2 Minutes into the evaluation, my husband took our 8 year old son out of the room because the questions she was asking were not appropriate for him to be hearing (she seemed frustrated when my husband brought up the fact that he wasn't comfortable staying in there with our son.) When our son finally came back in, Ms. Swords made no attempt to connect with empathy or to talk to him like an 8 year old would need, considering the delicate situation. I will say that in the end she did give us a very good piece of information regarding childhood depression and for that we are grateful. I cannot say that she is not knowledgeable. But her bedside manner is atrocious. We will not be returning.

Dr. Lisa is so accommodating to her patients! If you are struggling and need to be seen, she and her staff at The Resource Group will do their very best to get you in. She returns your phone calls and talks through WITH you about medication adjustments, changes, symptoms and side effects.

Scheduling is a nightmare and inflexible. Appointments never last longer than 15 minutes and you HAVE to be on time. If you are more than 5 minutes late you are unable to see her and will be charged a no-show fee. She’s a decent person, but really just asks is everything okay with meds? And writes a refill. Been going to her for a couple years and am still unsure of my diagnosis.

Wow, I'm surprised to read so many bad reviews about Dr. Swords. Both of my daughters as well as myself see her. I really like her! I think she gathers all necessary information before prescribing and explains the reasoning for her medication decisions. Yes, she can be a bit abrupt at times, but that is just her personality. She has our best interest at heart. She has a late policy to keep her schedule timely, which I appreciate, as my typical wait is only ever 5-10 minutes if that.

I had a terrible time with Lisa- most appointments lasted about 5-7 minutes, and a good chunk of that then was spent on her talking about her upcoming vacations or new car, etc. She just prescribed medication without really talking about side effects, progress, etc.

Lisa Swords is money hungry. She charges an $85 fee for being 5 minutes late and forces you to reschedule even if you arrive within your 15 minute appointment time. Heaven forbid you get caught in traffic or have a family emergency to attend to. She's kept me waiting for over half an hour at times, but isn't understanding about you needing her to wait 5 minutes. Please seek help from a psychiatrist who cares more about your mental health then their paycheck.

I’ve been seeing Lisa now for four years after losing my 16-year old niece to suicide. Depression and anxiety overwhelmed me making every day challenging. She listens to me. She doesn’t just talk “at” me like many providers. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Lisa swords is a terrible practitioner, her main focus is making money. She over prescribed medication that often clash and are counter productive, after seeing her for six months we left and began reducing and eliminating all the crap she had me on, the medications I was prescribed initiated more problems than I started with, she spends no time to get to know you and the maximum in time I spent in her office was 10 mins. I would say more but I am out of room!

My son saw Lisa Swords for a medication evaluation and I was shocked at how rude and judgmental she was. She demonstrated no compassion and made no effort to establish rapport or put him at ease. She did just the opposite! Within minutes of being in the room with her, he was turned off and shut down. I don't know how this woman thinks she can effectively work with adolescents. Within the last two minutes of the session she threw two prescriptions at us without hardly assessing his symptoms.

When I began seeing Lisa, I was able to come every 4 weeks but now I’m lucky if I can get in once every 8 weeks. If you have to reschedule, good luck to you. She also goes on vacation frequently so whole weeks get blocked out. Appointments are 5 min. It’s too hard to get an appointment so I am now driving twice as far to see someone else but at least I can get in the door. Pretty sure she just wants your money. Would not recommend.
