After 60 plus years of severe debilitating migraines, I went to Dr Gfrerer with high hopes that finally relief might be possible. Every new medication and treatment over the many years raised my hopes only to be disappointed and left with severe migraines. There were hospitalizations, infusions, trigger shots, monthly shots, a steady stream of medications promising relief, massages, PT and even a spiritual healer— all resulting in no relief. My life was greatly compromised, occasions missed, energy diminished, all causing inevitable blues from severe migraines. Then I heard about a doctor at Weill who was performing life changing surgery for those with debilitating migraines-Dr Lisa Gfrerer. It is now one month since my surgery and I have been migraine free. For the first time in more than 60 years, I have not experienced one migraine. I’ve never gone more than 2 days without a migraine. Dr Gfrerer has given me a migraine free life. For me she is a miracle worker.

Dr. Gfrerer was really great during my visit. It was worth waiting for this appointment. I felt like an actual patient and not a client at a store. She was very professional, friendly, had great bedside manners and radiated trust. So I am looking forward to a very successful surgery and great results. Sumaya was very sweet, kind and professional with good energy. Shari was also wonderful and very patient and kind. She has been great in coordinating the surgery date and also messaging me with information that pertains to the surgery. Her energy is very positive and I really appreciate people with a good outlook and good energy, especially in situations like this that involve health and a surgery. Nurse Joellen is also great with keeping you informed and answering important pre and post surgery questions. I definitely recommend this practice! Thank you.

Dr.Lisa was my reconstruction surgeon same day after my double mastectomy January 2024 I’m so happy with my results both physically and ascetically. She’s absolutely amazing. She gave me hope and reassurance that my injury can be repaired. Although it may be a long road but there is hope! Her staff is great as well! I don’t like surgery because I’ve had a few however, she really really took a lot of weight off my shoulders. And I say that with sarcasm because my shoulder is dead and we or rather she will help me get it back to life! Thank you!
