Rushed call - I didn’t know what to expect as this was my first appointment with a psychiatrist. She prescribed me meds - again, first time on anti anxiety and antidepressants - then said we’d have another appointment in a month. I did research and asked my therapist about the meds and found out they should show effects within 1-2 weeks. I have not seen results and wanted a consultation, yet I was unable to message her because she never updated my status. I had to complain to support on Brightside to get it fixed. Once she updated it, she messaged me saying I need to request a review in order to book an appointment, so I do that. It’s been about 24 hours now and it’s still in review and I lost patience. I’ve now switched providers. Not a great first experience and left me feeling like my care doesn’t matter.
