When I was in the ER, not for myself, but for my newborn daughter, this man asked me if I was still bleeding. I was right days postpartum. He told me I wasn’t supposed to be bleeding. This man is an idiot, as far as postpartum women are concerned. Women can bleed for weeks after giving birth and it is absolutely normal. He was condescending and I’m pretty sure it’s because I had a (amazing) home Birth.
