Lee Dagger, LCSW

I sought out Lee for help with a specific life change goal that I had been very anxious about doing. I've had therapy before, worked in the field many years. At first she seemed empathetic, smart, and helpful. At some point, I had a big loss in the death of a friend and was feeling very raw and vulnerable. It was right after the death, 10 months into therapy, that Lee abruptly informed me that she would be stopping therapy with me, that I needed 'supportive therapy'. I was shocked and terribly hurt. I had been engaged in the process, showed up for appts regularly, paid her and expressed gratitude for her help on a regular basis. She implied that I hadn't made enough 'progress', was not going as 'deeply' as she had wanted to work. But I had engaged her for a specific goal and progress was being made! I felt judged, and abandoned, triggering old wounds. It ended up feeling very traumatic and very hurtful. I felt she handled it like a rookie, not professional and it still hurts.
