Dr. Leanna Manuel, PSY.D

I should’ve read what others went through because it was th exact experience I had! What is it with this woman?? I had 2 sessions and from the jump, she wouldn’t listen or let me finish the questions she asked me, and pretty much just read off of her computer screen like a robot. There’s literally no life or warmth in her eyes or demeanor. After first session, I sat there wondering what that was, considering that I’m not too familiar with therapists, so I gave it a try for session 2. It was just as bad so I decided not to continue. I’m on high deductible HSA and had to pay for both sessions in full. Terrible waste of money!!!

Seeing this "professional" was probably the most damaging thing I could've done for my mental health. She first presented herself as not a warm and fuzzy/hugging-type therapist which I thought was fine...I didn't need a hug, I needed advice and guidance. I saw her a number of times, hoping we could build a beneficial relationship but I finally realized it was okay to start over with someone new. She has no business in this industry. She was rude, condescending, and judgmental. She was not a good listener and didn't seem like she wanted to actually help me overcome my issues. She would just assign worksheets as if that was the only thing that would help me, not our conversations. I can look up worksheets on the internet...why even bother with talk therapy then? I urge anyone considering this person to think again and trust these reviews. She can seriously cause harm to someone and their lives. She did irreparable damage to mine.

Had an initial consult where she condescending and self identified as a religious, conservative person who has a tough love approach to therapy.

Felt like I wasn’t listened to. Sick of doctors not helping treat my adhd. Felt discouraged and invalidated. If you need very tough love who feels condescending go to her... she is also a homework based therapist

I saw Leanna Manuel over a period of six years or so..the last session was the most brutal, agonizing 30 minutes I could never have ever imagined. I was in tears, sobbing by the time she was finished with me. When she asked when I would like to come back, I thought she had to be joking. To this day, I still see her sitting there, with a student that she had asked to sit in with us, giving the student the “ did you catch that” look after I would try to respond. On the way home I stopped at my drug store, the lady working there, who I always spoke with, thought someone close to me had died. I still could not recover from my session with Leanna Manuel,
