Did not display clinical interviewing skills, appropriate diagnosis , and lacked empathy and warmth.

I have never taken on board counseling of any nature previously and after much consideration decided due to my situation, to invest in counseling. I looked up Dr Navin and booked an appointment. Whilst I was nervous, I was instantly put at ease, and from the first meeting, felt comfortable. Dr Navin has worked with me for some time and has really helped tremendously, with my progress being easy to see. I am happy to recommend Dr Navin, who has been pivotal for me over the recent months - thanks!

If you're grieving parent, please don't see this counselor. She didn't count my daughter as one of my children, and then when I called her on that, she told me I haven't "worked through my grief." Anyone who understands what it is like to lose a child knows that the grief, like the love, will last a lifetime. I found Laurie Navin not only unprofessional but ignorant and harmful. I wish I had never spent my time, money, or most importantly, my emotional energy, on her.

I finally got up enough courage to reach out to a psychologist. I sent Laurie an email expressing my issues with anxiety and depression, desperately seeking help only to be emailed back saying, sorry not accepting new patients. My advice: find someone else. She can't be passionate about helping others. Thankfully I wasn't suicidal.
