Laurence who thinks he is a tough guy likes to yell at disabled veterans and when confronted about his atrocious behavior cancels the appointment, mid-appointment. Apparently, the “my body my choice” argument doesn’t apply to pain management treatment and only triggers supposed “professionals”. Such disgusting treatment of another person in medical need is deplorable. Especially, since they themselves are probably on high dosage pain management for their white collar desk job, as veterans and laborers suffer. It’s a plausible explanation for why I was subjected to being screamed at 8 am this morning.

Doesn't always listen thoroughly to your concerns. I think the patients knows when they feel pain.

Most amazing NP. He has helped me drop my dependency down so much. I was taking a high dose of opioids 6 times a day, now the dose is reasonable 3 times a day. He is awesome. He cares for his patients

Unfortunately he is the reason why I will never go back to Wake Spine/Pain. I follow all the contract rules for my pain management, have perfect negative urine tests and don’t abuse my meds. I’ve been going here a long time. But one appt with him, he acted all superior like he was the man, didn’t listen to me and then told me my “pill math” was off (whatever that means) and then said I was seeking drugs. I get the opioid crisis but this man needs to stop treating pts like drug addicts.

Horrendous. I’ve been in pain mgmt for 25 yrs & was (note WAS) a patient at this office for almost 10 years. Went to routine appt with him bc the regular dr I see was unavailable. This man told me he couldn’t account for my pain med & refused to prescribe it. I was like What??? His rationale was that it was due to a negative urine screen. Meanwhile I was there bc I ran out of med so of course my urine screen would be negative. He suggested it was negative bc I was a drug dealer selling my pills.

He is one of the few healthcare professionals I've interacted with who has taken my pain seriously. He also takes the time to explain the details of my diagnosis that many doctors assume I don't want to know about.
