Laurel McIntyre, MFT

I recently stopped going to see Laurel as a therapist after several instances where she called my child names and said made inappropriate statements to my child. For instance, she told my son that he couldn't possibly like himself if he didn't like his parent. That type of statement could not be comprehended by a child and left him confused as to his own thoughts. Another time she called my son rude and mean in the last therapy session. When questioned about it, she stated to my ex wife that she didn't call him rude, she said she told him he was acting rude and then admitted to getting "worked up by my child". Laurel should not be able to work with children. I would not recommend using her. It was only after I saw what child centered therapy looked like that I realized how awful she was to my kids.

Laurel continued to only do play therapy with our 10 year old. After 2 years in therapy she wasn't helping our daughter at all. We had a very difficult time scheduling appointments. Would have to call several times over weeks to get an answer. Noone would ever call back to our multiple messages left to schedule appointments.
