If I could give her a negative rating, I would! Her knowledge and techniques are dated. The way she speaks to small children, calling them names and labeling them as “bad kids” is alarming. She does not believe true victims and makes her mind up about you before you even walk through the door. She chooses sides when she is supposed to be impartial and has absolutely no understanding of DV. She is condescending, rude, disrespectful and straight up dangerous! Any professional organization choosing to use her services needs to read the reviews and understand that providers do not normally get this amount of negative reviews for no reason. We are not just disgruntled people who did not get our way, we are concerned citizens who are expecting better. Beware of this provider! I can’t believe she is allowed to be in practice!

I have nothing nice to say about this provider. My children are absolutely terrified of her, and she should not be in practice! She is very biased and has absolutely no understanding of what child abuse looks like or how it manifests in children. She makes up her mind about your case before you walk into her office. She continues to send children back into abusive situations. It is concerning to me that someone with these kinds of reviews is still allowed to practice. The fact that this has been allowed to continue speaks to a major issue within the system that needs to be looked into immediately. She is disorganized, nasty, unkind and condescending, yet my kids are forced by the courts to see her. I strongly believe that any positive reviews on here are from someone who cares more that she helped them get their own way then by how that way was gotten. Even if she was unbiased towards me, she would still be receiving this review.

I have nothing nice to say about this provider or the way that she treats children. She is not unbiased. Instead, she is condescending, disorganized, rude, flippant and has no understanding of child abuse or what it looks like. She uses other people's opinions to form her own and she makes her mind up about your case before you walk in the door. My children are terrified of her and cry before each appointment. I truly believe any positive review on here was made by someone who is happy they got their way, rather than the way in which they got it. The damage she has done to my children may not ever be able to be reversed. There is something very wrong happening here when courts are suggesting using her. Do everything in your power not to use her as a provider. The fact that she has reviews this low and has never been stopped is very concerning!

I wish I could not leave any stars this women is awful my son has been mentally and physically abused she had never looked at the police report from abuse past and present where the father used his hands and feet as a weapon and still wants an 11 yr old to have contact with an abuser please save your children not not use

This counselor has no moral compass. It is alarming to read these reviews but the experience is real and someone should take serious notice to the public concern about this provider.

She is biased. She appears discombobulated as her scheduling is overlapping leaving clients waiting for long time periods, not showing up for appointments because she is traveling last minute without proper cancellations. She relies on texting which causes a lot of miscommunications. I would not recommend her service at all.

Rude, condescending, mean, volatile, flippant, fresh, I could go on and on. Laura Ryan is not an unbiased party. Her mind is made up before you walk in the room. She was nothing less than a bully to my daughter. I am amazed this woman still has a license!

Worst of the worst. Biased, rude, talks over you, rolls her eyes at you , condescending and ignorant.

Laura should be a drill sergeant she yells at kids and tells them their is nothing wrong with them when they have PTSD talk about trauma wouldn’t recommend her for anything

Laura has been very helpful in accommodating my schedule. Along with listening and helping me navigate this difficult time. I appreciate her kind bedside manner.

Colleen from Smithfield - Laura was fabulous with my son. He was a difficult patient who saw many therapist that became frustrated and recommended the next therapist. Laura was able to break down the barrier when all the others failed! My son opened up to Laura and she gave him many suggestions that helped him tremendously.

She really did t care what I had to say,looked bored.What a waste of money and got nothing out of it.Would not recommend her to anyone.
