I recently had my first appointment with Laura. I was very pleased with her professionalism and the time she took addressing my concerns. Would definitely recommend her. Have always been pleased with the care I receive at the Heart Institute.

Two days before Christmas I felt the unusual need for cardiovascular options due to tightness in my chest. Early that morning shortly after 9 am I phoned The Heart Institute and was assigned to Laura Akers who immediately proceeded to address the problem .. Result was accurate diagnosis and anxiety relief- Past experience with Laura was again proven to be very beneficial- Thank you Laura!!

Laura Akers is awesome. She saw me even though I showed up at 7:30 on the wrong day. She is a cheerful person and made me feel very comfortable as she explained my concerns. She took her time with me and is a very calm and caring person.

Laura was wonderful, patient and very informative. She took the time to explain my tests and what the next steps were going to be. She has been understanding during this overwhelming and frightening experience. It's wonderful to have a provider who has compassion for what I am going through.

Laura is excellent. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain all my questions, and I had a lot. Her calm demeanor and professional experience allowed me to focus on my questions so I could get the most from the doctors visit. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone seeking a doctors advise.
