I saw him before my knee replacement last Oct. Basically, I was given no information on the surgery. The folder I was give contained the date and location of surgery and the nurse’s phone number if I should need anything after surgery. Other people I have talked too were given a booklet on what to expect, exercises to do before surgery and other helpful information. While in hospital, after being transported by ambulance less then 24 hrs after surgery because of ruptured tendon, he told me I couldn’t stay just because I was in pain. The next month after tendon repair he told I could remove the brace after 3.5 weeks. I don’t know why we had such a break down in communication.

He's the BEST PA that I see, very knowledgeable and understanding. He the number 1 PA to give shots, I would not go to anyone else. He listens and always give great medical advice.

My encounter with this provider was unpleasant. He was a bit rude/insensitive for me. His diagnosis (torn Meniscus) seemed robotic once i told him my issues. I decided i'd see his parter the good Dr at the Athens location and he just repeated what the physican's assistant said without even checking me out.

Mr. Shaman is a highly qualified, professional and caring person that is a great asset to the Athens bone joint practice.

Mr. Shuman was knowledgable, took his time and really listened to try to diagnose the problem. He was willing to dig deeply to not just treat the initial symptoms, but find the root cause of the problem.
