Went in for a contact lenses exam with a co-pay of $60 and ended up with a bill of $185!! He will manage to find something medical to bill both vision and medical ins. Do not accept any other exams other than what you are there for or walk out, I should have done that. First time seeing this Dr., who was recommended to me, should have checked out first. I've seen several eye specialist for years and have never experienced this with billing. In this case, my medical insurance was billed without my knowledge for another comprehensive eye exam with a diagnosis of cataracts, which I have never been told that and I recently saw a glaucoma specialist a month prior who ran several exams and told me everything looked great. He will also try to prescribe a brand of contact lenses that he only sells at his optical, I called to change it to the brand I always wear. A hold was also placed on my vision ins. so that I could buy at his optical only, called to have it removed . Don't go here!

We scheduled appt for the eye exam at the plan benefit of $0 co-pay and ended up as another reviewer on Angies List said being billed for a medical co-pay plus he filed the same eye exam and determination of refractive state test ,that was free under the vision plan, under my medical insurance. He filed for the same under both medical and my separate vision plan. Don't go . If you do you will pay heavily out of pocket. He charged us $140 for a $0 co-pay eye exam. plus paid by medical Ins.
