Beware...he mocked me when I brought up past suicidal thoughts which were hard to admit to. I was stunned. Also subtly pushed his political leanings on me. Overall, was worse off when I stopped seeing him vs. when I started. Could have saved myself a heartbreaking experience if I had only researched him before my first visit (he was suspended for physically mistreating a patient). Avoid this hack at all cost.

At first it seemed like Dr. Laurence cared and would be able to help based on how I was initially received by him. But after a few months and many visits, it became apparent that he wasn't putting in any effort on me as a patient and was just interested in collecting checks. Frustratingly, he rarely talked and forced me to break the awkward silence. The biggest issue I had with him was that he offered no advice other than the repetitive and vague answers. The breaking point was when he told me that all my problems were my fault because I had a bad attitude - this really bothered me because that is very close to the main reason in which i was there in the first place.
Aside from that, the man didn't seem to be very intelligent for a Phd in medicine. He was very polite at first, but he let an ugly temper show toward the end when he insulted me.
I wouldn't waste your time. Try to find someone that will invest in you as a patient.
