Patient presenting was 80+ yo gentleman with a severe laceration on shin of right leg and swelling of that ankle and foot and considerable pain when walking. Pt was seen by RN 1 day following laceration and also 5 days after by the same RN. The laceration 5 days later looked nothing like it did at first visit. RN set up televisit which patient thought was with an MD but it was with Ms. Krogstan, NP. Pt has several chronic conditions including multiple myeloma, atrial fibrillation, has had a previous blood clot, etc. Ms. Krogstan's counsel was to keep doing what he had been doing - cleaning the wound. There was NO suggestion of putting patient on an antibiotic (laceration looked infected) or checking for a blood clot. Patient proceeded to ER, where NP was very concerned about infection and possible blood clot. ER NP order lab work, x-ray and ultra sound. Patient went home on antibiotic and was advised to clean the wound 2x/day. Glad girlfriend insisted we go to ER!

Kristina asks you all the questions and listens very well. She has a very kind compassionate personality and when you walk out you feel very confident her advice will get you back on the road to recovery. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Great people person.
