This physicians assistant refuses to listen to her patient. I will never see her again. Two of my immediate family members were diagnosed with a bacterial infection 1 week ago. They were tested for Covid and were negative. Our primary dr. gave them antibiotics and they immediately felt better. I obviously, got this infection from them. Yes, there is a chance it could be Covid, I'm aware of that, and that's fine, I'm young enough, but the chances are low that it is covid. This woman just wouldn't entertain any other thought than its covid. I explained to her that if its not covid, than what? I should be on antibiotics to combat the infection now. Why should I feel terrible when, chances are, this isn't covid. Her response has just been "I think its viral" over and over. There is no open dialogue with her patient. The impression I got from her from the very beginning was "This is covid or nothing." Please do not see this nurse pract.
