Dr. Kristi Merritt, OD

I had a very difficult time getting an appointment so I ended up driving further to Rockmart. Dr Merritt act as if she didn't know me which was ok I didn't feel good anyway. I had been going to her for years before they ask her to leave Walmart Vision. She changed my contacts an I wore them a few days an felt I couldn't see as well so I called Walmart Vision an explained . I never got a call back so I waited a few days an called again . Her assistant was very rude an hateful to me. I told her I wasn't going to argue I just need my contact changed. She told me she would have my records printed out and to never come there again. Wow ! I got there to pick up my contact an I told her I'm the one you was yelling at on the phone. Very rude ! Yelling at me across their office. She said I wasn't following protocol because I was to contact her directly. I lost her card ! Dr Merritt your assistant is very rude to your patients in case you don't know !!! I will NEVER Come back to you again.

tried to make an appt today. only one client in the entire office and she wouldn’t acknowledge me or make an appt. Even her own client as her if she should help me and she answered “no.” She should lose her license. UNPROFESSIONAL!

I went to the Target in Hiram on 8/5/17 and made an appointment for 8/10. And because I knew that I would be pressed for time I also picked out my eyewear. I get there 30 minutes early to told that I had no appointment! I had rearranged my day for this exam . And I had the appointment card. I was rescheduled for 8/11 at 10 :00 but on my way there I get a reminder for a 10:30 appointment. Not good. So ask about the eyeglasses that I picked out to save time No record.. Very disappointed in Hiram

Very poor customer service. They don't return phone calls, they don't call you when your glasses are ready. They have an odd policy of refusing to give you your glasses unless the doctor is there. It took 6 weeks for my son to get his glasses.

I went to visit another optometrist in Villa Rica, GA who had atrocious behavior and customer service skills. I subsequently called Dr. Merritt's office to schedule an appointment, they rectified the situation with excellence. I also learned that Dr. Merritt was preparing to take over the other office where I had a poor experience. What a pleasant surprise, considering the citizens of Carroll County will suffer no longer with the former Optometrist.
