Kristi has always been great! I’ve had appointments with her multiple times during 2 pregnancies and annual checks and she is very kind, listens and asks great conversation starting questions. She’s knowledgeable and makes sure you feel heard during your appointment

I made an appointment with Kristi for an IUD removal and insertion. Previously, I have been offered a topical lidocaine cream to help numb me for the procedure. I asked Kristi for this, and she had several surprising reactions. 1) She didn't know what I was talking about at first, explaining how a lidocaine injection would be uncomfortable (note that I specifically asked about a topical cream). 2) She said there is not evidence for this being an effective pain management strategy. 3) She said lidocaine cream would not be an option, and that I could either have nitrous oxide gas or nothing. After my appointment, I felt dismissed and unsure. I looked into the peer-reviewed evidence on lidocaine gel as a pain management method for IUD insertions, and it turns out that either Kristi is out of touch with the field, or she is ignoring patient wellbeing. I called the other OBGYN clinic in town and they do offer this option (and other options), so I would 100% them instead of Flagstaff OBGYN.

I had an annual exam and Pap smear scheduled and Kristi made sure that all of my questions got answered. And that pap was the fastest, most painless one I’ve ever experienced!

Kristi Kolek was so great to fit me in to her busy schedule when I called the office with concern of a new lump I found in my breast. She was kind, knowledgeable and reassuring during an anxious time for me. She was able to order a mammogram and ultra sound so I could find out more of what was going on with something that probably wasn't anything but just to be safe. I appreciate her and would definitely recommend her and the office.

Her demeanor and exam were very professional and I was comfortable throughout the entire exam.

I was called back so quickly, no wait. Kristi was in very quickly, asked all the questions and made sure she answered all of mine. Appreciate the speed without missing any of the attention to details. Prescription also sent off to pharmacy before I even left the office.

She was nice and efficient when it came to the exam and pap which I appreciated. I did feel very judged by her in terms of my choice to not be on birth control which made me not want to go back to her.

She's is always so inviting and very thorough. I got all my questions answered.

Over the years she is always taken wonderful care of me never in a rush always has the latest information and suggestions.

I have been seeing Kristi for the past 10 years. I live in a small town and have to travel 2 1/5 hours to see her. Because of our lack of good health care in my town, Kristi has been the only consistent healthcare provider for me. She listens to all my concerns and I never feel rushed.

It happened over a year ago. PCP recommended I see OB for possible perimenopause. Kristi wouldnt listen to me. I explained history, family history, symptoms. She would only push an IUD for heavy cycles. I left the appt and cried, feeling hopeless. Recently, had a really bad monthly. Anemia, heavy flow, couldnt stay awake. Went back to PCP terrified I wouldnt be listened to again. He listened and I finally had validation. Yes, everything is leaning toward perimenopause. My chart says homemaker now; however, I'm actually a certified medical assistant. I know what I'm talking about. For a year, I've been miserable. I'm terrified of PAs now. The experience left me defeated and deflated. The practice is wonderful, but I highly suggest seeing a physician only. Also, denied me a referral for a mammogram. I have breast cancer in my immediate family history. Just a horrible experience.

Kristi is phenomenal! She is incredibly knowledgeable and really takes her time with her patients. She is proactive, kind, encouraging and really listens to you. I have PCOS and Kristi has been kinder and more supportive than any other OBGYN I have seen. I will never use anyone else for my OBGYN needs!
