Dr. Kenneth Schneider, OD

Dr Keneth Schneider has done more for helping me and my wife we have been to others in town with out the results we received from him. thank you Mr.& Mrs. V.

Dr. Schneider took care of both my mother and myself. He was my eye doctor from the 1980s until I left Toccoa after my mother died almost 13 years ago. If I was still living in Toccoa I would still see him. However, I must say not everybody has a good opinion of him. My father was not happy with him as well as a cousin. Still, he did OK by my Mother and I.

Wrong prescription given. Returned a second time. Still given wrong prescription. Claimed my new eyeglasses, 1 month old, were over-prescribed. Failed to see small lenticular formations in both eyes. Yelled at me after poking my eye because I jumped and gasped. After much consideration, I decided not to return a 3rd time, despite not being able to read road signs. Went to a different optometrist and got a second opinion. The lense prescription he gave me was grossly wrong and I am glad I paid someone for a 2nd opinion because I could have had an auto wreck or worse. 2nd doctor educated me on cataracts, a major concern of mine, since both parents had them and my brother died when he had cataract surgery last year. I find it odd that he did not see these lenticular formations in addition to finding it odd that he under-prescribed my contact lenses. I am upset that I paid him a lot of money and yet, I had to go somewhere else and pay a second time to get the correct prescription.

He is kind, patient , and has a very good way of making the patient feel comfortable. I went to about 4 specialists one summer and could not figure out what was wrong with my eyes. He took one look at me and though I was younger than most patients with this problem, he found bilateral cataracts. I think he is the most brilliant optometrist I have ever met. I am an R.N. with 46 yr.experience. So I really feel that I know an excellent Dr. when I have see one. He has taken care of me since 1982.K
