Dr. Kenneth Loya, PHD

I really enjoyed my time with Dr. Loya. He was incredibly kind, accommodating and really helped me to dig into my issues. It’s so important to have someone that is willing to put the work in with you and he did this and really helped me understand different issues that I was having. He did so in a very clear manner and I am very appreciative to him and the progress I made while I was his patient. I discontinued service with him as he was out of network and I ended up moving out of the area but I highly recommend him.

This therapist is very unconventional and will challenge you all along your path. This can sometimes be very helpful but can also be counter-productive if you are looking for emotional support. Sometimes he seemed to have his own agenda and overanalyzed things that I felt didn't warrant analysis. I would say he can help if you are ready to be constantly challenged on every little thing. You definitely will need to state your own perspective and correct him if he's come up with an inaccurate analysis. I would advise that you need to be in a very good head space to see this therapist.
