Not worth it. I worked with another therapist within Kelli’s practice, who was lovely, but when a family member died unexpectedly, causing me to miss a session, they charged a cancelation fee 5 times my normal charge. I understand that you sign an agreement regarding cancellations, and of course it’s necessary 99% of the time, and under regular circumstances I would accept full responsibility; but to call yourself a mental health advocate and then punish clients for having emergencies is cruel and actually makes mental health worse.
