I took two of my children for supposed neuropsychological evaluations. I discovered after my son’s evaluation that she is not qualified to diagnose autism, which I was clear I wanted evaluation for. This assessment used up all of. The money that the insurance would pay. Since I suspected autism, I had to take him to a second neuropsychologist and pay two thousand dollars out-of-pocket. My second child also turned out to be autistic, but she only diagnosed him with ADHD (what she is qualified to diagnose). This actually delayed my getting him an autism diagnosis and the help and understanding he needed for years. Do not go here if you suspect autism. Unfortunately, ADHD diagnosis alone has been shown to delay autism diagnosis.

She takes insurance...so fabulous in this day in age! She made us feel very comfortable, which was helpful with a daughter who has high anxiety. Although her office was far for us to travel to, it was well worth the time since we were so happy with her guidance for our daughter.

Dr. Lokken runs and manages her entire practice, giving individual patient care to each person. As a result, she sometimes takes some time to return calls. However, she provides results of her evaluations faster than anyone that we could find. From the time our child was tested, she had the results to us in two weeks! She provided a thorough evaluation and our son loved working with her!

Dr. Lokken's analysis of my child was thorough, careful, and allowed us to move forward with identifying the best treatment for him. I would recommend her to any family looking for clarification of their child's issues.

Ok, but not really very good. There were lots of gaps in her testing and had contradictory findings, which left me and my husband confused. She struggled to clear these up for us. We'll try someone else next time.
