My experience was that she was not collaborative or honest with me. I tried to communicate my need for empathy in order to open up and process something, but she shut me down. She asked me why I would need to feel my feelings over the event or process it. Honestly it was the most bizarre therapy experience I've had. Every question I asked just got me gaslit and blamed. Then she terminated me abruptly without an attempt to connect me with a new provider. It felt cold and like a betrayal of trust. She never apologized and maintained she did nothing wrong. If you're looking for warmth or someone who will care about your feelings, she might not be the best fit for you, at least in the end. She started out acting kind and warm and did once help me through a time of grief, but her behavior toward me changed. I already had trouble trusting and opening up, so this has set me back.
