Ms. Stoddard abandoned me in the middle of therapy. I went to see her for depression and abandonment issues. I had a 20 year long history of intermittent suicidal ideation as an escape mechanism. I had never done anything close to harming myself but she believed I needed more help than she could provide and she referred me to a dialectical group and told me I need a dialectical therapist. She knew nothing about the groups, gave me no names of therapists although tossed out some names of clinics. She never once gave me any other therapists name. When I found a clinic they asked that I continue to see her but she declined, repeatedly. I originally went to her with the sincere desire to grieve the loss of my childhood and resolve my depression and her tossing me and refusing to follow up as suggested, is devastating me. If you are seeking a therapist for moderate-severe depression, I suggest you look elsewhere.
