Dr. Karen Sims, PHD

While Dr. Sims may have all the credentials to do her job, it seems her title and status as a doctor has gone to her head. We brought our child in for an evaluation, which she did, but it appears she limits her services to a perfunctory review, and a regurgitation of her work in a controlled follow up meeting. If you try to provide input, a view, or opinion of her work, she becomes dismissive and condescending. She is arrogant and stereotypes the parents based on limited personal interaction, but will say to your face "I've seen this before" and berate you for thinking your situation may be different. If you are one to keep your mouth shut and just accept her diagnosis, she's the Dr for your child, but I wouldn't try and speak up in her review, unless you like to be belittled and made to feel like it's all your fault, because she knows you better than you know yourself.
