Karen Rose has been nothing but kind, understanding, honest and supportive giving resources to assist one in coming to terms and accepting where you are in allowing you to move beyond limitations. She has a calm quiet demeanor quickly putting one at ease.

I had a very demeaning experience with this lady a few years ago. I suffer from severe panic disorder due to trauma and on the day of my first appointment had a terrible panic attack. This happens to me before I talk about abuse I have suffered. I called to let Karen know what was happening and reschedule, and she refused to allow me as a patient because I didn’t (couldn’t) give 24 hour notice. I was distraught and in need and I went to her office to try to explain in person my mental health situation and she refused to let me talk. This humiliated me when I was at my lowest, mentally. I was TRYING to seek mental health help. I did my very best to explain my panic disorder to her- a mental health professional should honestly understand mental health problems. I hope she has never treated anyone else seeking help this way, we already deal with stigma and shame. I am embarrassed about my panic disorder. And sorry I had a panic attack, I couldn’t control it.
