Karen Congelio, MSN

I have seen Karen for years for the basics - acne, skin checks, mole removals, etc. I was recently diagnosed with a condition that has caused my great anxiety. Karen and her staff have shown absolutely no sensitivity or empathy. In fact, Karen was quite condescending at a follow up appointment, suggesting that she “can’t help me with the anxiety I’m feeling, that’s your therapists job - get some medication.” I’m not confident in her diagnosis and I’m not impressed with her bedside manner. It felt like I was being punished for getting a second opinion from another local dermatologist. If you’re looking for the basics - this office is good. If you’re looking for anything beyond that or a doctor that will actually hear your concerns, I would look elsewhere.

I have been extremely pleased with Karen's professionalism and friendliness. She is very thorough and I trust her completely.

I have been going to KC for quite some time. So, to say that I was left speechless by my last visit is an understatement. She was curt and rushed through the appointment. Left the room before I could mention some concerns I had and, frankly, the way she was acting, I was hesitant to continue with the exam. I dressed and left. My husband, who was in the waiting room, was taken aback when I emerged from the office because the appointment was so short. I vowed never to return and will not!

I felt that she was condescending and did not hear my needs.
