Karen Calcano, PA

I recently had anterior hip replacement at Holy Cross and Ms. Calcano was the PA who sutured me up. What a disaster! The suture line looks horrible train track marks all the way through it, obviously tied too tight. I am 7 weeks post op my suture line she be light pink it is deep purple hard and next to the suture line is unexplained swelling and pain not relieved by anti-inflammatory medication, rest, compression or ice. I still can't walk with out pain all coming from the suture line. I am a healthy individual with no medical problems and never had poor healing issues. My surgery was successful 4 weeks post op no complications noted in the X-ray. I'm back to the surgeon today to be re-evaluated. If I could give her Zero stars I would. For the life of me I don't know why surgeons don't finish what they start and put the important part of closing a patient up in the hands of this PA
