Overall, would not include parents in treatment for child despite asking many times to be included to learn skills to manage behavior at home. Would often say she would email or be in contact and then not communicate. When she did finally email it should have been a phone call as it was overwhelming information. Have since learned that parents need to be included in OCD treatment, new therapist set-up clear guidelines with child and parents on what information is going to be shared, recommended DBT skills and it's much better experience.
