This is in order to WARN you of Dr Kara Fitzgerald clinic's service. I was "treated" by Dr Litwin, he prescribed a medicine which the Mayo clinic urges all people to AVOICE. He prescribed other dangerous medicines as well. He refused discussing any of it over the email. The doctor is obviously beyond question at the clinic. I wrote to Dr Fitzgerald and asked to be moved to the care of another doctor at the clinic. She refused to correspond with me directly (only via her secretary and responded as following: At this point, we feel it is in the best interest of all parties, that we discharge you from care at the Sandy Hook Clinic

For most, there are 2 versions of medicine we know. Traditional and the natural path type. This clinic is a rare blend of the 2. Mixing what we have learned with modern medicine and looking fo the root of a problem. Traditional practice would treat diabetes with pill, but the functional practice looks to take a step back at the cause of the diabetes. I have found that the clinic and staff to be thoughtful and compassionate with their care. If you’re looking for a healthy blend of progressive and root cause medicine, Dr. Fitzgerald’s office is recommended.

It’s not often that you find a really great fit with your doctor. Finding someone who can actually address your health issues while also making you feel like a valued and individual patient is rare. Dr. Fitzgerald was integral in helping me improve my health issues.

Highly recommend. Been to doctor after doctor, dismissed again and again. But not here -- Dr. Fitzgerald (and her colleague Dr. Litwin) ask A LOT of questions, listen to what you say and what you don't say, investigate underlying factors, and pursue answers. They don't give up on you! I finally feel like someone is taking care of all of me.

Dr. Fitzgerald is the best! I had suffered from brain fog, digestive issues, and adult acne through most of my life until Dr. Fitzgerald helped me discover that I have some severe intolerances to certain foods (mainly gluten and dairy). I am happy and clear headed now, no longer suffer from GI disrupt and my acne is clear! Plus I have SO much more energy! She is a pleasure to work with and I really can't thank her enough for everything she has done so far! The staff at the clinic are thoughtful and very informative as well, and reply quickly when I have a question about my plan or need to order supplements. Sending a huge thank you to Dr. Fitzgerald and the Sandy Hook Clinic, I don't know where I would be without them!

It can be challenging to find a doctor who truly listens to the entire background. Dr. Fitzgerald and her staff took a truly functional approach when helping with my immune issues. I was amazed at how unique their suggestions were, how many questions I was asked (all of which felt highly relevant) and most importantly how effective the treatment plan was. Strongly recommended.

I contacted this office looking for a nutrionist to help with fertility problems.  I was told that I would need to undergo blood tests that would be expensive and take 3+ weeks to get results. I was currently in the midst of IVF and waiting 3 weeks for blood tests results would be too late. The doctor told me instead of his regular package price I could come in for an 1hr consultation $500 and he would give me nutrition advice. I ended up having a 3+ hour appointment where I received zero advice.  An hour into the visit he said he had no other appointments after me & that he would be happy to continue our visit at no extra charge. At the end I was told I would need to pay to get the blood tests done and then pay another $825 for an appointment to review the results, then pay the actual nutritionist. The process would take 2+ months and be over 3k. I now have paid $825 to this establishment and have received zero advice.

This is heartbreaking due to how people are trying to get away from Western Medicine. People have become narcissistic and truly don’t care about others and especially this practice. The Office Manager threw me under the bus when I was extremely ill. She kept stating my Insurance would cover my blood work for only $30. No, that was not the case after numerous times of me reaching out to her due to my concerns. The bill was $900.00. I left a message for Dr. Kara Fitzgerald twice and she did not get back to me. They stated they could write a hardship letter. This must have been done to so many innocent people to have this in place. I spent over $3,000.00 last year with this practice to end up completely crippled back in December of 2018. Stress is the number one factor. No one seems to care about anyone anymore. After I told them I had no more money, they were still trying to charge me. Be aware this practice has no morals or values and will take your money and hurt you.
