Ms. June Odegard acted as my medical advocate during my hospital stay and my wife's hospital/rehab stay for Covid in Nov/Dec 2020 in Surprise Az. We both feel June saved our lives. Working long distance from Maryland June facilitated quickly finding and working with a local MD to get me admitted to a hospital where Covid was confirmed and treatment was started. Since my wife was also admitted a few days later, it was June who checked in with our hospital treating staff on our behalf on a daily basis. We talked on a daily basis to assess how care was going and as I was struggling with Covid brain helped guide me through how to advocate for myself, and for my wife who was on a ventilator. Several times her knowlege and assertiveness with hospital MDs and staff insured that all required treatments were done. Following a 9 day stay, she monitored me at home while continuing to advocate for my still hospitalized wife. Thanks to June, 9 mo later we are both home and conti ue to do well.

We obtained June’s contact through our PMD. She helped us understand the process we needed to go through in order to obtain a good outcome for our father. Up until we got int contact with her we felt like a fish floundering out of water. Our father unfortunately contracted the virus and we needed a advocate to help us get continual help for us.
