This woman was so incredibly offensive and judgmental that I was just shocked. I have never in almost thirty years of being in some type of counseling, had a therapist comment on anything about my appearance, particularly at an intake meeting. She made comments on everything from my hair to my choice in footwear. And she also made assumptions about me without even asking if it was true. Don’t waste your time. I left the appointment with this odd feeling. At this appointment, after making many of these comments she moved on to some fairly intense emotional conversation. It’s almost as if she intentionally upset me, in order to cover her own behavior. And I admit that it kind of worked. By the time I left, I felt uncomfortable and offended but legitimately confused about why. I discussed the appointment interaction with my spouse. He agreed that her behavior was unacceptable. Particularly for an intake.

Horrible. She will promise that she can fix you through just a few talk sessions.
