Dr. Joy Dejong Lago, PHD

Dr. DeJong Lago took a comprehensive intake and, after testing was finished, she explained the tests and the results clearly. (Some had to be administered without explanation.) She offered a series of worthwhile recommendations and addressed the issue of follow-up.

Very professional, spent all the time needed explaining all the aspects of the testing and solutions to consider. She went above and beyond expectations and has a very kind and empathetic demeanor…

I had two visits with Dr. DeJong Lago this week. I found Dr. DeJong to be a clinician who listens carefully, is open to any questions, and will address any misunderstandings. She was able to give a direct, clear explanation about what is wrong, and what is needed. She is professional and patient. The office staff were courteous and helpful.

Very disappointed in the clinic, the staff, and the provider. Was asked to move a May appt to today, 2-8. ONE HOUR before my appt I was called by Clinic Staff / Carly saying they made a mistake, the doctor was unavailable. Problem is they told me to expect 3-4 hours so I took a day of vacation to see Dr DeJung Lago. To make matters worse, Carly asked to reschedule me for JUNE … A MONTH LATER THAN MY ORIGINAL APPT. Joy Dejong is a self-centered lousy psychotherapist (if you can call her a therapist). She's judgmental and does not explain in an empathic way your mental illness. She should not be in this profession. She also likes to raise her voice at you. I do not recommend her.

This doctor accepts Medicaid for TBI. She then puts you at the back of the list. It took me a year and a half to get an appt. Her assistant told me to hurry up during testing. When I had my follow up appt with the doctor, she accused me of trying to "hide" symptoms during the testing phase. There were times I had questions; but there was no one around to ask.
