John Kish, MA

John tries to come across all buddy buddy with you, yet when you talk about actual problems, he shows little to no empathy. His therapeutic skills seem to be on par with one of your coworkers who asks you how things are going, but just does it to be nice. John was late to our sessions and never returned any of my calls about charges that he made that didn’t make sense. Just check out the three totally legit 5 star reviews on this very site that were all made on June 27, 2016 and were definitely written by real people. Don’t waste your time and money.

I saw John and Patty for different issues. I saw John for individual therapy. I had a lot to work on in order to make my marriage work. Sometimes talking through things wasn't easy and I do feel that John was easy to talk to and helped me with my anxiety and depression. Not an easy thing for a guy to admit but all people should get help when they need it. It works and I would recommend John, he is down to earth and not a suit, if you know what I mean.

All he did was ask about my weekly life. I asked when I started to have help with past issues, and he never tried to help. Meetings felt impersonal, as he spaced out and always asked me to repeat what I said which made it seem like he hadn’t even listened. He also seemed to forget about everything we had talked about in past sessions every time we met. The app he used was also extremely glitchy, and had several problems getting it to work. He was also, on average, about 15 minutes late each meeting. Good for if you just need someone to talk to, but not the most helpful if you have deep seated issues, or want more advice and resources for your issues in your life.

John was very helpful to me as a college student. He was caring, understanding and really helped me cope with stress on campus. He assisted me with being more organized, make better choices and reduce stress in school overall.

John is very personable and gets me into his office within five minutes of my appointment time.
