I visited Joel on several occasions over three months. Through our discussions, I learned more about myself, such as my thought patterns (cognitive distortions), that I made fear-based decisions, to not beat myself up by blaming myself for my past, and that I have more control over my emotions and circumstances than I previously believed. He encourages introspection and speaking up for myself without talking down to me. Thank you for your help.
