I went to her treatment center and she was my assigned primary therapist. I had a better relationship with literally every single person on my treatment team than her. she misdiagnosed me and talked a lot about herself and her own family during my sessions. She also was really triggering for my eating disorder, because she would talk about her juice cleanses and how she only 'let herself' eat one candy per week. That kind of language with someone who has an ED is so dangerous; she should not accept ED clients at her center if she doesn't know how to positively interact with them. Luckily, I found treatment at a different center and am doing better now, but she definitely caused harm to my overall mental health.

My experience has been positive and she really helped me. It’s sad to see some of the comments because that can ruin a reputation for someone that has the best intentions & open heart to help. She is that person and yes sometimes you may hear something that you don’t want to but life isn’t all pink and fluffy so you need to trust that. She has amazing staff very diverse in trauma treatment & are willing to work at your pace BUT be ready to be challenged and pushed!!!!! Her office manager is one of the kindest person I have ever encountered. I called in a difficult time & she took the time to explain in detail the program, hours, schedule, money (yes money) and she was so nice and I felt her sincere empathy through the phone. She even provided me with her cell phone # because it was the weekend & she wanted to make sure I was going to be safe. I felt bad calling her on Saturday & somehow my phone rang & it was her just checking in! She was truly concerned and I felt SAFE and cared for!

I did not have a positive experience. Joanne was flip and wrongly projected onto me as a patient. Does not know behavioral healthcare issues can be caused by underlying physical causes. And doesn’t really care. She’s not that conscious. I left the Center quickly. For my own comfort.

She is amazing,
