Joanna Eernisse, PMHNP

I was referred here by my counselor and saw the other person in Joanna's office, Madison. It took a while for her to introduce herself and her bedside manner was non-existent. She just fired away with personal questions watching her monitor and was clicking away on a loud keyboard with her two Covid masks which made it hard to hear her along with all the typing. I've never had anyone type so much in a visit. There was little eye contact and I couldn't read any facial expressions, and 30 minutes later, I expressed I wasn't very comfortable with it seeming like every detail I said was written down. She said I have to do an assessment and that's its 1.5 hours long. She said didn't want me to be uncomfortable, so she stopped, sat back and offered to delete my file and that I could leave. Wow, well I'm really not comfortable now...so I decided to leave and was charged for the full visit. So, I don't recommend going here. (updated) After calling, the office reduced the charge of my visit.

Great bedside manner, extremely professional, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I have now been to her twice and found her to be the best psych professional I’ve ever dealt with. You can tell she cares about her patients. I highly recommend Joanna, and I’m very satisfied with the results and know I’m on the best path possible. I had an issue with the first meds we tried , called the office and within the hour it was adjusted.
