Our Family Therapist for nearly 9 years
Joann has been helping our family to manage expectations and potential for a long while. She doesn't specialize in ASD children per say but helped us (through a process of elimination) figure out possible causes for behavioral issues and solutions that have surely kept us from imploding. She's helped to arm us with the psychological tools we need to navigate through lots of trauma sustained recently and from the past.

I was a patient several years ago, whenever I expressed self hatred she sang 'nobody loves me everybody hates me I'm going to eat worms all day', dismissed the things that happened to me, only spoke to me with my abusive father in the room, and turned what was already a dark time of my life into a living hellscape. Please, God, never hire this woman for your child, yourself, your worst enemy. She won't help at all. I was eight.

Joann helped me when nobody else would and I am thankful every day for her call. She helped me understand my needs in a way I didn't know possible and she showed me how to get my life back on track and how to do the things I had been missing. I do consider her unconventional but in a way that certainly enhanced our relationship.
