Dr. Jessica Brown, PSY.D

I worked with Dr. Brown for a period of about 16 months and I deeply regret the time that we spent together. Dr. Brown seems to believe therapy is more of an art than a science, a questionable mindset of many in the field. Even a third-grade science fair could have plotted my declining mental state on a graph, but Dr. Brown couldn’t bring herself to acknowledge that our work together was having consistently negative outcomes over a long period of time. In the instances when I gave her feedback, I saw her mask slip and felt her defensiveness. I finally got up the courage to leave, but our sessions left lasting harmful effects. My advice is to find a therapist who uses feedback informed treatment which has a better success rate than whatever it is that Dr. Brown practices. Jessica Brown is neither an artist nor a scientist.
