Jessica Belk, LCSW

Ms. Belk is who my daughter needed during my daughter's mental health difficulties. She gave my daughter tools to identify her thoughts and emotions and also how to articulate her thoughts and feelings. Before Ms. Belk, my daughter wouldn't communicate with me and it made it hard to know how she was feeling and it caused a break down in our relationship. Ms. Belk was able to gain my daughter's trust and as a result things were brought to the surface that I was unaware of. Now my daughter is more comfortable communicating and it has improved our relationship. I'm grateful for all the suggestions, resources and knowledge I've gained during our experience with Ms. Belk and I recommend her to anyone who needs a professional to help them navigate through the highs and lows of mental health!

Available and caring

Judgemental and shady. She had come to our residence to "interview" us about our daughter who had needed a spech IEP for her speech delay. She asks us questions about her medical history, childcare history, etc. but then later, as i'm looking over her summary, she describes our house as unsanitary. Seriously? if i had known she was judging the state ofd our home then i wouldn't have let her come. This was about getting our child the help she needs for speech delay. Not the environment? i would never place my kids in a house that's unsafe for them. Never again.
