I was a client a few years ago and have just now processed how poor my treatment was. She prescribed my medication sufficiently but should not have tried to be a talk therapy counselor. I felt my depression was not “bad enough” for her to take me seriously and when I expressed my feelings and problems to her, I felt like she looked at me like there are a lot of other people that have worse depression than me so I’m fine. Once she wrote a note of absence for me, and when I provided it to my employer, they wanted more info from her. Instead of helping me, she called me and said “there are a lot of people that hate their jobs _______. You have to get over it.” If you are in desperate need of medication and can’t get in anywhere else, I think this would be fine as a quick fix but don’t consider her a place to feel affirmed or for long-term care.

Jennifer Scroggie is an excellent therapist. She helped me deal with trauma and was instrumental in helping me heal emotionally. She always acts with integrity, keeps a safe space, and never comes across as judgmental. She also manages my medication and has made adjustments to them when needed. I had therapy before this, but it was at a much more superficial surface level. The psychoanalytic therapy I have received helped me get to the root of the issues which has resulted in long lasting changes in my life including at work, with family, and also in how I interact with people in general.

I am a former client of Jennifer Scroggie. I have disassociative amnesia. However, instead of telling me the truth about the fact that I have disassociative amnesia, Jennifer Scroggie hypnotized me without my permission. Afterwards, when I asked her if she hypnotized me, she lied to me about it and tried to convince me that I was crazy instead of telling me the truth about the fact that I have disassociative amnesia.
