Blevins saw me on behalf of Dr. Choll Kim for my transforaminal epidural steroid injection or (TFESI) appointment. I told her mine and my neurologist's concern about the epidural, but she convinced me that I would be ok because the pain specialist (Dr. Timothy Chong) does them for a living and that the chances of something going wrong would be extremely rare. After being convinced by Dr. Irwin Goldstein and Dr. Chong that I would be ok, I decided to try the epidural. Post-injection about 5 days later, I was sent to the hospital for an adverse reaction of flinching of the legs and a fever. Later the same day at home, I got a second adverse reaction - a "steroid flush" that felt like it was going to take my life away. Later on, I discovered chronic complications that made my life unnecessarily harder. Later on, I discovered that I was not supposed to get the TFESI and it could have been avoided. I never received and apology from Blevins or a promise for better healthcare.
