Dr. Shelton was unprofessional during my eye exam and was wrong in writing my prescription. I was told he no longer worked there when I went back to redo my examination.

Amazing eye care. Very cost effective , while receiving the best care for your eyes. I can not say enough about how wonderful of an eye doctor he is. Calming chairside manor. If I had small children I would bring them to him .He makes it very enjoyable to get an eye exam. I always look forward to the visit. The receptionist is so kind and friendly. Never have to wait to long even if you just show up for a walk in apt. The care is better than I have ever received at any eye specialist.

Awful experience, Dr Shelton initially tried giving me same prescription for both eyes when they both required a different prescription, kind of "splitting the difference." Took 3 different prescriptions over two exams to get lackluster results. Contact lens fitting consisted of a YouTube video. The assistant stated she had never helped others with their contacts nor had she worn them herself. The Dr absolutely freaked out saying "I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS I NEED A CIGARETTE" and stormed out of his

biography

After 6 years in Roanoke, our practice has moved to Midlothian, VA.  Our final examinations were in late 2019.  Prescriptions were made available to patients as long as they were active through the optical staff.  As of 2022, no remaining prescriptions are still active.
