Great Patient Care
Friendly staff and expert care from Dr Handschumacher as I have eye care challenges that Dr Handschumacher has been able to diagnose and treat for several years. The office has a wide selection of glasses and I have also gotten contacts here. I will continue to come back.

Does not listen to patients!
Will never return to Family EyeCare Center again! My husband and I had been previously and thought I could trust Dr. Handschumacher to perform an eye exam for my elderly mother. My mother's only request was to not have her pupils dilated and Dr. Handschumacher violated her rights as a patient to refuse and have time to make an informed decision. He instead forced dilation eye drops into her eyes seconds after she said no and I said the same thing. He then turned to me and said "it's done, and I don't understand why she wouldn't want it. I don''t want to put myself in a position to get sued down the road." I'm in shock at how Dr. Handschumacher continued to then justify himself by saying that as a "care provider he can make decisions for his patients" - keep in mind that this is my mother's first visit with him and she had reservations and fear regarding having her pupils dilated. I've worked in healthcare for many years and a good optometrist and care provider will listen to their pati

I worked for him for several years and was prob one of the best Dr.s to work for compared to the others one I worked for. Pay was fair and easy to get along with, treated patients with dignity and respect.
