disappointed experience with Jeffrey Engberg
My mom and I went to therapy with him a few times. I'm seventeen years old and the way I was treated was so unprofessional. I don't know if it's because I'm a child, but it seemed he really only acknowledged and wanted to listen to my mom. It felt like I was explaining myself to someone who had no interest in believing my side of the story or anything I had to say. He spoke down to me and made me feel much worse. He made comments like, "you're a pretty girl but you have some serious issues you need to work out" and,"my kids would never treat me the way you treat your mom". Therapists are supposed to provide a comfortable, supportive environment for their clients. Jeffrey Engberg made me feel the exact opposite. Rather than giving me a comfortable space to speak about my issues with our relationship, Jeffrey made it obvious he didn't believe what I had to say. Even after I told him how I felt, he didn't seem to care. I do not recommend this therapist to anyone, especially teenagers.

Jeff is compassionate. As a counselor he hears a lot of emotional statements is able to discuss them with ease and candor. He is an excellent listener and has a genuine willingness to help.
